A long time a go, there lived a poor old man. He had no relatives, no friends, and no family. At that time, the only friend he had was a cat. Everyday, he sat at the side of a crowded street to beg for food. Anyone who seen him was touched and gave him some coins, but it was not enough to make a living.
One day, he decided to travel in search for fortune. The cat
accompanied him on the way. He went to one of the richest city of England. All Europeans
did not know what “cat” was so every house had mice.
When
he passed a mansion, his cat jumped right out of his hands and ran inside. He followed the
cat into the living room and saw mice running all over the 
dinning table. The master of the mansion gasped in horror. In an
instant, the room once again became quiet. The master quickly ran to the old man and
begged to be able to buy the cat. Happily, the old man agreed and walked out the mansion
with a bag of gold. He then bought a beautiful house and had a blissful life, but he still
felt that he was missing something.
While taking a walk one morning, he saw a
several dogs surrounded something. He was curious to take a look. It was his poor 
cat who left
the rich house looking for him. He regretted that he exchanged the cat for the rich life.
The old man brought the cat home. From then on, they lived happily together ever after.
